Was I able to get them?
Dun, dun, duuunnn!
Dun, dun, duuunnn!
After years of spending my life Youtube watching various kpop videos, I came upon this series by Arirang. I guess it popped up because I've been watching CLC videos especially ones of Sorn (she's so cute!). She seems to have appeared in television before she debuted just this year and this happens to be one of them.
So what is this playlist about? Arirang hosts documentaries and programs about South Korea. For this series, they focused on the growing interest of Kpop and how it expanded Korean market. They go through important steps of entertainment agencies' process, day in the life of a trainee (Sorn), and day in the life of an actual idols (AOA and UKISS). I brought this video so people can see how it feels like to be a part of the Kpop market. It's also really great because this short includes other jobs within Kpop such as stylist, producer, and choreographer.
Watching this definitely gave me insight and respect towards idols. Every idol had to go through this even just to debut. There is a part in the video where CUBE's motivational poster says:
Those who lack in effort
Those who lack in passion Those who lack in capability Just go back home
So to anyone hoping to chase their dreams of becoming an idol...good luck! With effort, passion, and talent, you'll make it. :~)
Fashion has not been my interest until only recently. When I was young, I used to wear whatever my mom bought for me. Of course, I would deny clothes that were just ridiculous, but I had no preference whatsoever. I mean, I still don't. Most of my pre-teen life revolved around anime. So, I didn't spend much time like most 13 year olds looking at magazines and asking parents for extra allowance to buy a jewelry. At that time, I believed I was not "like other girls", which is really stupid since we're all special and the same. Yeah, I spent my money on cosplay and most of them cost a lot. Not only did I have no interest in fashion, I did not have extra money either. It also didn't help the fact that I went to private middle school and high school. Uniforms? The most comfortable thing ever in the morning. No rush to choose an outfit and argue with your parents. If there was a free dress day, I could pick up whatever cute thing I find from Forever21 and I won't be so different from others. Sophomore year of high school was different. Majority of the girls wore light makeup during school and applied thicker makeup outside of school. They were going places with gorgeous outfits. I thought they looked like celebrities who were having fun looking fresh with their friends. I think I was attracted to how fashion gave everyone confidence. Once I started to choose my own outfits, I felt confident too. Problems is, I don't know what is "my look". Most people have a strict style they unconciously go by like earthy, bohemian, simple, etc. So, I decided to put together sample outfits I would most wear. Once I created these, my style become more apparent. I have to say I cheated a little by choosing mostly articles from mixxmix, my favorite store.
So, what do they all have in common?
Since these are all outfits I would wear, next time I do some shopping, I'll watch out for points above. I think I can also see the style, but I don't know the word for it. Maybe preppy, simple, earthy? Eh. This has been really helpful for me. I suggest everyone to try it too in case you want to know which outfits work for you or that you like. You can make outfits like above on polyvore. Happy spring shopping! |
